Fishing Report

Madison:
While the weather remains cold with a mix of snow in rain for now, there is a hint of spring in the air. We are getting warmer days where the air temperature stays above freezing so during the afternoon hours fishing can prove to be very productive.

Flies that are proving to work well are: brown rubberlegs #6, #8. Red San Juan Worms, dropper flies- black zebra midge #18, shop vac #18, and sometimes if your eyes are up for it, #20s. Make sure to pack midges sizes 18s and 20s because on the calm days you might be lucky enough to find a midge hatch. If you do, there might be some rising fish. Try along the banks.

Hebgen Lake:
Still frozen.

Yellowstone National Park:
Opens to fishing May 26, 2018
