Bead Head Soft Hackle

A classic fly, a simple fly, an easy way to fish, and an effective way to catch trout. Swing a Soft Hackle. It looks like an emerger, it is slowly swinging in the current and says catch me and eat me. The fish cannot resist. One of my favorite times to fish tis in June on the Firehole river with soft hackles. I have great memories with my dad at Ojo Calientie and Biscuit Basin. His favorite Peacock and Partridge! The bead adds flash and some weight to break the surface tension so it swings a few inches below the surface.
