Amazing!!

My family and I made a trip to Yellowstone and it was my first. My two young sons and I are very novice fly fisherman and still learning. We have been snobbed by a few trying to learn this way of fishing. It was truly a breath of fresh air to go into Arrick’s fly shop. Arrick, Lori, and the whole team treated us like family and they were enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, warm, and caring. Which might I add, at their recommendation of flies and river, lead us to catch a couple of browns and a rainbow. An amazing trip of a lifetime!! We had visited other fly shops in the area but we always returned back to Arrick’s to take our business to. I highly recommend this fly shop to the most novice looking to try fly fishing all the way to the expert. I truly believe you will not be disappointed!! Thank you again Arrick and all the team. Had the pleasure of fishing the fire hole river with our guide Oliver and my 13 yo son Samuel. Arricks has been around for 25 years and it’s obvious why. They are professional from beginning to end. The Real Deal

I brought a small group of travelers into Arrick’s Fly Shop so they could learn about fly fishing from a pro, and that’s just what happened. Arrick and his wife were both there to spend time with us personally. He taught my group about flies and about the insects they’re made to mimic. Arrick is an unassuming and patient patient teacher. We chose Arrick’s to book a full day guided trip because of the positive experience my son had in the store previously. Down to earth people that didn’t oversell or act pretentious. The experience got even better once we met our guide, Matt. He took my son and I on a fantastic and productive day trip and worked hard to both put us in the right spots and help us refine our casting and fishing skills. Could not be more pleased!

Best of West Yellowstone

I had the opportunity to take Zach out on a full day drift down the Madison. Zach is exceptionally knowledgable in his fly selections, as well as reading the seams and holds, he is also by far one of the most outgoing and well versed guides on the Madison. Zach knew what areas were fishing best, as well as where to put in for the most productive day. You won’t be dissapointed, and you will gain some very indepth insight! Ive been coming to “West” for 10+ yrs. While there are 5 shops to chose from, you will be best served, hands down, by going with Aarics. Aarics carries one of the most comprehensive selection of tying materials, and most importantly, top of the line gear selection. If you have a special request, Arric is most accomidating in getting in whatever you may need on short notice.

First Time Family Fly Fishing Trip

Arrick’s is the BEST in West Yellowstone!! Brought 2 of my grandsons to Yellowstone, (ages 11 and 12), and thought a half day Fly Fishing Trip would be a great memorable experience for them. Our guides, Matt and Zack, were GREAT. They took just the right amount of time teaching the kids how to cast and handle the rod and line and then stayed close by each one of them making sure they caught some fish. I couldn’t be more pleased with what a great time we had and memories we will never forget. Thanks So Much for our First Time Fly Fishing.

Excellent Customer Communication and Service

I first emailed four outfitters with a list of questions. Arrick was the only one who thoroughly answered my questions and also made recommendations After my second email I received a telephone call from Arrick who provided additional information and wanted to know if I had any other questions/concerns. I booked a fishing trip for my son and I for May.

My son and I met Arrick very early at his shop and he intorduced us to Zach, guide extraordinaire! There was a commaradie immediately struck as we all shared fihsing interests but a unique sense of humor. The fishing was great as more fish were lost than put in the net but Zach continually provided guidance which allowed my son and i both to land fish in what was fast challenging water to fish (snow melt).

First time won’t be the last time, great experience

Thank you Arrick’s and especially to our guide Zach for providing a wonderful first fly fishing experience for a 7 year old boy. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip. Zach’s attentiveness to our son’s questions and making sure he was safe allowed Mom and Dad to enjoy a half-day of fishing as well.
